Things Take Time!

Don't give up!

“Great things take time. Flowers don’t bloom overnight, mountains aren’t climbed in a day, and dreams don’t come true without persistence. Keep watering your goals with effort, patience, and belief-your time to shine is coming.”

This Newsletter Isn’t What You Think It’s About…

Today, I want to talk about something that doesn’t get enough attention: overcoming injuries, chronic pain, and setbacks.

In 2016, I tore my hamstring. It was one of the most painful—and humbling—experiences of my life. I went from doing whatever I wanted in the gym to barely being able to get out of a chair without wincing. Forget lifting heavy… I just wanted to walk without pain.

That first year? Progress felt almost non-existent.

It took three years before I could “run” again (and I use the word run generously—think walk/jog shuffle).
It took seven years before I could lift and train the way I wanted.
And now, nine years later, I can finally run and lift with freedom again.

During those nine years, I stretched, did corrective work, pushed myself to the edge of my capabilities, and focused relentlessly on healing. Some months, I felt like I was making great progress—then a setback would knock me down again. I repeated that cycle more times than I can count before I finally got to the other side.

I share this because so many people come in expecting to be “back to normal” in 30, 60, or 90 days—forgetting that years of poor posture, limited mobility, and chronic pain don’t reverse overnight.

If you’ve been sitting at a desk for years and have back pain, or you’ve been living with an injury for a long time, it will take patience, consistency, and effort to heal.

This isn’t to discourage you—it’s to remind you that the road to recovery can be slow… but it’s worth it. There is hope, and there is a brighter side. You just have to stick with it.

If you’re struggling to find your way toward feeling better, I’d love to help you get there.
