Celebrate the Small Wins

For a long time, I only celebrated when I hit the big goal. Crossing the finish line, reaching the number on the scale, paying off the very last debt—that’s when I thought celebration was “allowed.”

But over the years, my mindset has shifted. I’ve learned that the small steps along the way are worth recognizing. They’re what get you to the finish line.

Examples of Small Wins:

  • Training for a marathon? I ran a 5K this weekend!

  • Working toward losing 30 lbs? I tracked all my meals this week!

  • Paying off debt? I just paid off one credit card!

You don’t have to wait until you’ve “made it” to feel proud of yourself. Every step forward counts—and deserves a pat on the back.
