Making Time...

How to find time to workout!

The fundamental level of success is doing the hard things first – If you go for the feared thing first, then the rest of the day is easy.

— Robert G. Allen

People often tell me, “I just don’t have time to work out.” I try to break it to them gently, but the truth is: we all make time for what we prioritize. If you feel like there’s no time to exercise, it might be because you haven’t fully decided that working out is something you want to prioritize.

And that’s okay! Honestly, I respect it more when someone simply says, “I just don’t want to work out.” That’s a more honest reflection than blaming the clock.

That said, I completely understand what it’s like to juggle a full schedule while trying to carve out time for fitness. I’ve been through the ups and downs myself, adjusting routines as life and seasons change. If you’re in that place, here are a few tips that have helped me stay consistent:

1. Wake up earlier.
Yeah, I know—it’s not the most popular suggestion. But waking up just 30 minutes earlier can give you a solid window for a 20–30 minute workout before life kicks in and steals your time.

2. Find a workout buddy.
When I’m starting a new routine, I always bring in accountability partners. It’s easier to stick to something when someone else is expecting you to show up.

3. Set the scene.
Every Thursday morning, I train with my own coach—and I always do my warm-up at home beforehand. To make sure it happens, I lay everything out the night before: clothes, equipment, the program—everything. If it’s ready and in front of you, you’re less likely to skip it.

4. Be consistent with your time and place.
If your workout schedule is constantly changing, it’s tough to build a habit. Choose a time and place that works and stick with it. If you decide 6 a.m. is your workout time, protect that time like any other appointment. Don’t negotiate with it.

At the end of the day, success doesn’t come from doing complicated things—it comes from doing the simple things consistently.

If you need help building a routine or want some accountability, I’m here to help. Let’s get after it.
