Doing what needs to be done!

Doing what you need to!

I recently went to my doctor to see why I was so exhausted all the time. It didn’t seem to matter how much I slept; I struggled from the moment I woke up to the moment I went to sleep. We decided to do a full blood panel to see what was going on. I apparently had no iron in my system. The scale was 16-232ng/ml and I was at 6…so not even on the low end of the scale, almost not on the scale.

This, of course, explained a lot about what was going on with my body. I was prescribed an iron supplement which my system did not take well. I hopped around until I found something that my system would tolerate but honestly was not being consistent with it.

Last week I had an adult conversation with myself and put a calendar reminder on my phone to remind me to take the supplement.

Guess what?

I am finally starting to feel a little better!

It’s super easy to know what to do but not do it. I am as guilty as the next person. Often we have the tools we need, we just need to use them. Sometimes it’s as easy as putting a calendar reminder on your phone, other times you need to elicit the help of others to keep you accountable to the new behavior. Either way you win in the long run by figuring out how to take consistent action towards feeling better!

Need some accountability let me know!
