Consistency
Step by Step...

One of the most important actions I have ever taken towards reaching any health and fitness goal I have ever set for myself is just showing up. I know it sounds pretty boring but it really was the magic ingredient. Day in and day out, putting the reps in.
As you start to reflect on what you want to accomplish in 2025, it’s easy to fall into the trap of feeling like you have to do big audacious things but really it’s about showing up for yourself every day.
I wake up most mornings at 3:30am to ensure I have the time to get my workout in. There was a time I couldn’t have imagined I would ever get up that early to workout but day after day, not shutting my alarm off, rolling out of bed, putting on clothes and driving to gym turned that small habit into something deeply rooted in me. I know that if I show up everyday and put the work in I will get where I want to go.
I have had a goal of squatting 200lbs for a long time and I recently got to 195lbs which was a huge win for me. I feel closer to that goal then I ever had before. I didn’t get there with special equipment or sheer determination. I got there by putting in hundreds of squat workouts and incrementally going up in all those early morning workouts.
Regardless of whether your goals are physical, financial, or professional to name a few, you will get closer to them by taking consistent steps forward. Make 2025 a year of consistency and you may be surprised with how exceptional it turns out.
