2024 Review

Reflecting on 2024

“Reflective thinking turns experience into insight.”

~John C. Maxwell

For a lot of us, this is the time of year we reflect on everything that has happened in the last 12 months and what we want the next 12 months to look like. It’s a good time to look at how far you have come and to celebrate those accomplishments as well as see where there is room for improvement.

I have a few ways I do this but I wanted to share with you two news ideas I recently heard from Brendon Burchard:

  1. Go through all your pictures from the year and reflect-I thought this was an incredible idea because it is a chance to be reminded of all the things you got to experience, see, taste, go to, be with, and enjoy. Looking through my pictures I was filled with gratitude to see all of the amazing things I got to be a part of.

  2. Go through your calendar and see what you want to keep on there, what you want to add and what you want to change-This one was an eye opener for me. It allowed me to see where I was maybe wasting time, where I should have not committed to things, and what I want my calendar to look like next year.

I thought these two ways of reflecting brought a different perspective to looking over your year. Sometimes we have to look back to see how far we have come and how truly fortunate we are.
